He attributes his success to his hard work and articulate nature.

How did you get involved in your profession?:

He became involved in his profession because of his background in chemical engineering. He was always good at debating and decided to attend law school. A preeminent patent attorney asked him to join his firm after graduating.

What do you consider to be the highlight of your career?:

The highlight of his career was representing Betsy Clark, an artist for Hallmark cards. He handled the contingency case and won her a large settlement.

Where will you be in five years?:

In five years, Mr. De La Garza intends to continue providing great services for his clients.

Mr. De La Garza also serves as an expert witness and motivating force. He is president elect of the Hon. Jimmie V. Reyna IP Inn of Court and an AV rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell, as well as Best Lawyer and Super Lawyer for over 20 years. Prior, he was chief executive officer at Chaz De La Garza & Associates LLC for five years. He had several big cases when working for Metronic and two major cases with Intel. Mr. De La Garza taught all aspects of intellectual property law at South Texas College of Law for seven years.
